NRA Instructor Certification Course

Thank you for your interest in the NRA Instructors class!

All the details of the class are listed below and once you have read through it Please Contact Us.

The cost of the class is $575.00. Minimum deposit of $100.00 is required to hold your spot in class.

Successful completion of this course will certify you as a NRA instructor with the credentials to teach both NRA Basic Pistol and NRA Personal Protection In The Home courses. The NRA Personal Protection in the Home is the course recognized by the State of Michigan (Ohio as well as many others) as meeting the CPL training requirements.

Instructor candidates are expected to have a certain level experience and skill prior to attending this course. As such there is a Pre-Course Questionnaire which must be filled out and sent back to me (via email preferred, scanned or pic.).

The Basic Pistol Class is on 1/7 and the Instructors Class is on 1/19, 1/20 and 1/21.

There are 2 pre-course qualifications required prior to attending the instructor training course. The qualification requirements are also attached to this email so you know what to expect. The Pre-course Qualification’s can be scheduled once I have received your questionnaire or you can shoot them at the Basic Pistol Class on January, 7th. For the pre-quals you will need your pistol and the required ammunition to complete the course of fire and likely some warm up ammo.

For the class you will need the following;

·        Pens

·        Highlighter

·        Sharpie

·        1 – 3 ring binder (3”) to place course materials in (course materials provided).

·        Lunch, snacks, drinks for a full day of class (coffee and water will be provided).

·        Ammunition – 200 rounds for the instructor class and 100 rounds for the Basic Pistol Class.

The NRA Basic Pistol class is required to be completed before taking the Instructors Class, but is included.

This course provides you with BIT (Basic Instructor Training) required for each NRA Instructor. Every NRA Class requires the instructor to be certified to teach that particular class. If you are already a NRA instructor for another discipline and if you have taken the BIT in the last 2 years prior to class you will not need to take it again. If your BIT is more than 2 years old then you need to take the BIT again in order to add to your certifications.

Contact us and we will send you the Questionnaire and Pre-Quals
